I’ve realized this week something that I hadn’t previously known about myself: I’m fascinated with the American Revolution.
I have said more times than I can count that I am not a big history class fan, but the topics and discussions that come up within the subject I do enjoy a decent portion of the time.
While learning about the American Revolution, as we are currently, I find myself actually remembering a good deal from past years of school. The things that I specifically remember are all of the different songs that I know that are specific to the American Revolution, such as “The Shot Heard Around the World” from School House Rock and “We Are the Sons of Liberty” from Johnny Tremain.
It’s amazing how when you put things into a catchy tune,
even especially if it’s a cheesy video, they just become so much more rememberable even after several years.
